A pretty day & pink autumn roses...

Hurricane Matthew has gone, thank goodness, leaving us a little wetter and with some branches and things to clean up, but mostly unscathed. The coastal areas of the Carolinas did not fare nearly as well, unfortunately. It’s heartbreaking to see some of the destruction left behind.
If there is an upside to hurricanes, it’s that after one blows through, the next day or two is glorious weather-wise. It is simply gorgeous outside today ~ 70s temps, sunshine and a wonderful breeze, the kind of day you long for all year long. All the rain and cooler weather has benefited the garden as well, and some of my roses are back in bloom. This pink one is simply lovely today.

Wishing all of you a great week...

  1. Regret damage was caused to so many during this terrible weather, but glad you were okay. The rose is beautiful and one of my favorite flowers.
